The Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers recently launched a job board for employers and job seekers alike to access on AWFS.org.
With the challenge of unemployment and open positions in the woodworking industry, it’s a way for employers with job vacancies to connect with job seekers searching for new job opportunities in their area and profession.

The AWFS is still planning to hold its AWFS Fair July 20-23, 2021 at the Las Vegas Convention Center while taking a broad spectrum of safety precautions.
All AWFS Fair attendees will be able to visit the Safety Pavillion where there will be a collection of safety gear, tools, and resources to ensure safety in the industry. At the event, you will learn the latest in safety, develop new partnerships, and discover new, cost-effective safety solutions for your workplace.

Interzum Guangzhou took place in China July 27-30, 2020 and is the poster child for returning to normalcy after months of uncertainty. The event had huge participation despite being suspended for a month due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
The event demonstrated that trade fairs and events with strict health and hygiene guidelines and a limited number of admissions can go off smoothly in spite of the pandemic. If anything, the success of this event gives us hope for the future.
For health and safety reasons, the North American Association of Flooring Covering Distributors and the North American Building Material Distribution Association announced that its 2020 annual convention is transitioning to a fully-virtual event.
Originally meant to take place in November in Colorado Springs, the event will now offer a full line-up of live education sessions coupled with multiple networking opportunities, including a virtual exhibit hall.

E-commerce furniture and mattress giant Zinus USA Inc. is opening its first North American advanced manufacturing facility. It will cost $108 million to build and will open in McDonough, Georgia in the first half of 2021. When it opens, it is expected to create 804 jobs in Henry Country, Georgia.
Zinus is known as an industry leader with mattresses and home furnishing products that are infused in natural ingredients such as green tea, olive oil, and charcoal.
